It is with a sad and heavy heart in which we announce the passing of our beloved mother Constance (Connie) Marie (Cieminski) Buswell, 89, of Winona. Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday August 5, 2018. Connie was born in Winona County on April 28th, 1929 to Constant (Conrad) and Ramona (Williams) Cieminski.
She married her true love James E. Buswell on July 5th, 1947 in Winona. With their love and devotion to family they raised eight children: Linda, Cynthia, Kristine, James R, twins Jeffrey and Jennifer, and twins Scott and Steven. Mom had the ability to make each one feel as if they were her favorite child.
Connie loved her family and her deep heartfelt love for them is carried through many generations. She could often be seen sharing her love for crafts with her children and grandchildren. She loved to crochet and sew quilts. She loved traveling with family and going to church bazaars. For those who have been blessed to hear her sing you were touched by an angel. She had the most beautiful singing voice along with an amazing artistic ability. She loved to paint and she left behind several beautiful water color paintings for people to enjoy. She will be remembered for her open door policy for anyone that needed a mother’s touch. Her smile and laughter will be carried forever in our hearts.
Connie is survived by her eight children; Linda (Bob H) Dunning, Cynthia (Peter) Friend, Kristine (Jim) Healy, James (Teresa) Buswell, Jeffrey (Susan) Buswell, Jennifer (Rick) Schewe, Scott Buswell, Steve (Kathy) Buswell; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren ; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Geraldine Hengel, Rosemary (Inky) Todd, Judy Lewis, Nancy Vikre, Nicki Werner; brother Michael Mangen; as well as many nieces and nephews.
