Carol "Trink" Gunderson

Carol L. “Trink” Gunderson, age 77, of Winona, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Winona Health.

She was born on April 19, 1943, in Rice Lake, WI, to Leonard and Cecilia (Stellpflug) Moulton.  Following graduation from high school, Carol completed secretarial training at Winona State College.

Carol was united in marriage with Wayne L. Gunderson on November 29, 1986, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Winona.

She was employed with Thern, Inc., and later as an administrative assistant with UBC in Winona until her retirement.  She was a member of Central Lutheran Church.

Carol will be remembered for her enjoyment of golfing, going to Canterbury Park with Wayne , garage sales with her friend Linda, and lunch dates with her friend Jean.  Her greatest joy in life was her family, and Carol especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and watching them grow up.  She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Carol is lovingly survived by her husband, Wayne Gunderson; son, Leonard (Becca) Jordan, and their children: Cameron and Cale; step-daughters: Cindy (Tom) Kelley, and their children: David and Will; Cheryl (Todd) Wondrasch, and their children: Jacob and Sam; stepson: Greg (Emily) Gunderson, and their daughter Grace; brother: Jack (Ester) Moulton; sisters: Sue (Darryl) Thompson and Chris (Jim) Leavitt; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Cecilia Moulton; and a sister and brother-in-law: Gayle and David Gammon.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until the funeral service at 1 PM on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 East Sarnia St., Winona. The Reverend Michael Short will officiate.  Carol will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Those attending will be required to wear a mask and to follow social distancing guidelines.

Pallbearers will be: Cameron Jordan, Jacob Wondrasch, Sam Wondrasch, DJ Thompson, Chuck Thompson, and Eric Thompson.  The honorary pallbearer will be Cale Jordan.

It is respectfully requested that memorials be directed to the American Heart Association or to Central Lutheran Church.
