AUDREY R. MEYERS
Audrey R. Meyers, age 94, of Winona, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2016, at St. Anne Extended Healthcare.
Audrey was born on May 10, 1922, in Winona, to John and Celia (Kamin) Mauszewski. She was united in marriage with Franklin Meyers on October 21, 1944, in Minneapolis, and he preceded her in death on April 2, 1983.
She was a loving wife, mom, and grandma, who loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As a devoted homemaker, Audrey enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She will be remembered for her love of doing word search puzzles, watching game shows, her favorite being The Price is Right, and listening to music, especially traditional Christian hymns.
Audrey had a deep trust and love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her faith brought her great comfort and peace throughout her life. She was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Winona, and she always enjoyed and looked forward to studying God’s Word and participating in Bible Study.
Audrey is lovingly survived by her daughters: Theresa Meyers, Wabasha, MN; Nancy (Mark) Campbell, La Crosse, WI; grandchildren: Jacob Meyers, Etters, PA; Jenny (Mike) Nelson, Fargo, ND; great-grandchildren: Jason and Joshua Nelson; and Sarah Meyers; step-grandchildren: Benjamin and Michelle Campbell, Phoenix, AZ; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; step-grandson, Joshua Campbell; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1664 Kraemer Drive, in Winona. The Reverend Kevin Froelich will officiate.
Audrey will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Winona on Friday, September 23, 2016, from 10 AM until the time of the service.
