Audrey Lynn (Denzer) Hunger, age 74, of Winona, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital – St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, MN.
On July 11, 1944, she was born to Alvin John Denzer Sr. and Elanora Hattie (Peters) Denzer, in Detroit Michigan. Audrey married Marvin Hunger on July 3, 1965, and they lived together in rural Winona.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin; daughter, Kim (Scott) Steele; son, Rob Hunger; grandchildren: Adam Hunger, Kristin Steele, Andrea Hunger, and Kalyn Steele; brothers: Gordon (Sarah) Denzer, and Drell (Rose) Denzer; 3 sisters-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alvin John Denzer Jr.; and nephews: Mathew Denzer and Kevin Denzer.
Her jobs included being a nanny for the Ashelin family; working at Rush Products in Lewiston, Knitcraft, and Lake Winona Manor; doing daycare; and baking cakes. Audrey loved being a grandmother, spending time with family, animals - especially cats, and reading.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation and time of sharing on Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 10 AM until noon at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home. A lunch will follow at the Winona VFW Club, 208 East Third Street, Winona.
