Arlene Hoff

Arlene A Hoff, age 89, of Winona, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at St. Anne Extended Healthcare.

Arlene was born on October 15, 1929, in Ridgeway, MN, to Herman and Clara (Hackbarth) Groth, and was a graduate of Winona Senior High School.  She was united in marriage with Marvin Hoff on August 28, 1954, in Ridgeway, and they made their home in Winona where they raised their seven children.  Arlene was a member of St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She will be remembered for her enjoyment of baking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Arlene is survived by her children:  Gary (Laurie), Karen, Bruce (Emilie Turner), Nancy, Janet Doman (Kirk), Karla Kellen (Jeff) and Mike; grandchildren:  Jessie (Zak Fishman), Dan, Katie, Nick (Rheana), Jake, Kevin, Kelly, and Emily Hoff, Lindsay and Kirstin Doman, Zack, Matthew and Cole Kellen; six great grandchildren;  her beloved sister, Donnis Noer; sisters-in-law: Betty Groth and Marilyn Hoff;  brother-in-law,  Don Streuber;  and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, on March 27, 2017; her parents; sisters: Trilva Hoeppner and Arlis Streuber; and a brother, Glen Groth.

Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until the funeral service at 1 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  The Reverend William Flesch will officiate.  Arlene will be laid to rest in the spring at Bush Cemetery, Ridgeway.
