Robert Prondzinski

U.S. Veteran

Robert Prondzinski, age 79, of Winona, MN, died on Monday, October 17, 2011, at his home.

 

Robert was born in Winona, MN, on December 8, 1931, to Frank and Ceil (Sadowski) Prondzinski.  On February 21, 1953, he married Louise Eggers at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Winona.

 

He honorably served his country with the Army, in support of the Army Air Forces during the Korean War.  Robert was employed by Lake Center Switch as an inspector and was co-owner of Creative Creations Ceramics by Louise.  He loved to spend his time traveling cross-country in his RV.

 

Robert is survived by his wife, Louise Prondzinski; children, Ron Prondzinski, Cherie Kanz and Chris (Carol) Prondzinski; grandchildren, Priscilla (David) Priebe, Avery Prondzinski, Jen (Jeremy) Corey, A.J. (Rachel) Kanz and Jason (Angie) Prondzinski; great-grandchildren, Gwen Marie Kanz and Justin Prondzinski; brother-in-law, Nat Miller; as well as other relatives and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roy Prondzinski and James Prondzinski;; sisters, Germaine Prondzinski and Mary Ann Miller; twin great-grandsons, Garrett and Gavin Kanz; and special friend, his cat Aliza Jane.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home. 

 

The Reverend Paul J. Breza will officiate.

 

Robert will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, where the American Legion Leon J. Wetzel Post 9 will provide full military honors.

 

Visitation will be held from 6 PM until 8 PM, on Monday, October 24, 2011, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, and on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Polish Museum or to the Winona Area Humane Society.
